In the beginning, Female Seeds was a classic student digs, a hobby that quickly made a name for itself with the breeding of its regular cannabis plants. The overwhelming demand from several Dutch seed companies motivated Ferry, the founder of Female Seeds, to expand production.

 

At the end of the 1990s, Female Seeds took the next step in expanding its product range with the success of its first 100% reliable and purely feminised weed seed. The sustained success of its highly efficient feminised cannabis strains is now set to pave the way for Female Seeds' next step. Female Seeds is now investing in independent growing systems such as aquaponics and LED systems to invest in cooperative systems, organic projects and regenerative agriculture.
