Orange Bud strain

Orange Bud is a plant of a Skunk selection of the 1980's, well known for its orange-colored hairs. It is a weed recommended and consumed by lovers of old school strains, which does not mean that they are in any way outdated or poor. On the contrary, they are strains grown millions of times, reliable and well known.

 

This Orange Bud by Nirvana is a regular/standard photperiod seed with a selected genetics of 100 % Skunk. It's a  mix of a sativa and indica with a ratio of approx. 40 % to 60 %. Its parents plants originate from Afghanistan, Colombia and Mexico similar to Skunk #1 from which it was selected and crossbreeded to a more "orange" flavor and producing the famous orange "buds". It turns out to be a easy plant to grow, suitable for outdoors or indoor cultivations. It is perfect for growing indoor, but also a great performer in outdoor growing if done in a warm or temperate climate which allows to flower the plant until mid/end of October. Whether indoor or outdoor, Orange bud always works very well with SOG, as the plants grow with little branching and are very compact. For an indoor SOG it's recommend to ust a minimum of 16 plants per square meter. The plants grow medium size and remain about 80-90cm tall with timely initiation of flowering. Outdoors, they can grow up to 220cm high.

 

Orange Bud produces light green buds, coverd with orange pistels and delivers an excellent yield. The flowers are thick and dense, covered with crystals, emitting a typical orange skunky flavor whitch is absolutely uniq. The flowering period is fast, as it will be ready for harvest after 50-60 days indoors and for outdoor crops at mid end of October. Indoor yields of approximately 550-650 grams per square meter can be obtained easily, outdoors it will be between 600-900 grams per plant.

 

The pleasant smell of Orange Bud is characterized by hints of sweet orange flowers almost similar to nectar. It is a citrus fragrance with a scent of lemons and oranges. Its flavor is located between tropical and orange as sweet and sour with hints of spicy herbs and mint. Its effect is body and mind relaxing, as well as calming, which allows to have an euphoric and positive mind. THC levels are around 19% to 20% - not too bad for a plant which is several decades old.
